Pritzker Military Museum & Library to host gala

CHICAGO (WLS) -- The Pritzker Military Museum & Library is getting ready to host its Liberty Gala on Nov. 7 at the Hilton Chicago.

The evening celebrates the work of the museum, while also raising much needed funds. The Pritzker Military Museum & Library honors the men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces.

At the Liberty Gala, the Pritzker Military Museum & Library will present a Literature Award for Lifetime Achievement in Military Writing to Pulitzer Prize-winning author, David Hackett Fischer.

ABC7 Eyewitness News anchor Stacey Baca will emcee the event. Pritzker Military Museum & Library President/CEO Kenneth Clarke joined ABC7 to preview the big night.
